Rosin, sometimes referred to as solventless hash oil (SHO), is a cannabis extract made without solvents.
The extraction method uses a combination of heat and pressure to separate the resinous sap from the plant material. Solventless extraction is seen to be safer and in some ways more pure than other extraction methods.
Rosin is a concentrated and potent form of THC that can be dabbed, vaporised, or added to a doobie or bowl.
Another feature of rosin is that it is a full spectrum extract, meaning it maintains the cannabinoid and terpene profile of the original plant. This allows for the potential advantages of the entourage effect, as well as other benefits associated with terpenes and minor cannabinoids.
Due to the concentrated nature of extracts, if you don’t have a high THC tolerance it’s best to “start low and go slow”.
